Asbestos is a mineral wool used for its Sealing properties. But, through time, we have known that this very material is extremely carcinogenic and had been responsible for deaths of numerous workers throughout history. The microscopic asbestos fibres tend to clog onto the bronchioles inside our lungs and cause cancer, also known as Asbestosis.

Gland Packings

Pilot Style 2140

PILOT STYLE 2140 is a diagonally braided from 100% pure gPTFE-yarn (PTFE with incorporated graphite). It has excellent heat dissipating properties and an extremely low coefficient of friction. This packing does not adhere to shafts orspindles. BAM approval. Chloride content < 20 ppm.

Application:
PILOT STYLE 2140 is mainly a valve packing, it can also be used for slow moving rotary and reciprocating equipment like plunger pumps etc. Suitable for very demanding applications in most industries, including the paint and lacquer industry. It can be used in connection with most media including the most aggressive ones. Also suitable for oxygen, paints, lacquers, varnishes, etc. Not suitable for: Alkali metals, fluorine and fluorine compounds at high temperatures and pressures, fuming s leo.

Pilot Style 2120

STYLE 2120 is a diagonally braided from a newly developed ePTFE yarn, filled with highly refined mineral filler particles, and treated with FDA-conform mineral oil. STYLE 2120 is very malleable and supple packing with low coefficient of friction, hardly any shaft wear. The filler particles inside the yarn enhance the heat transfer properties as well as lubricant absorption and retention over a longer period. Excellent
chemical resistance. Easy to install, needs little gland adjustments.

Applications:
The chemical inertness of ePTFE makes this packing suitable for use with nearly all fluids, including the most corrosive acids and alkalis, while the FDA conformity allows for use with foodstuffs, pharmaceutical products and potable water.

Pilot Style 2210

PILOT Brand Style 2210 is diagonally braided from pure, expanded, flexible graphite yarn. Very flexible and supple packing, good alternative to preformed graphite-rings. PILOT Brand Style 2210 combines the advantages of pure graphite rings with the ease of installation of conventional packings; very
low coefficient of friction and excellent thermal conductivity; does not age or harden; chemically inert (pH 0-14) except with highly oxidizing media.

Applications:
Steam, water, fuel, gases, chemicals, mineral and synthetic oils, effluents. Suitable for all processes, except with highly oxidizing media.

Pilot Style 3001

Aramid fiber with Silicon Oil and PTFE Filament binder to give the packing strength and durability. The chemical resistance of Aramid allows this packing to be used in
connection with most chemicals (except very corrosive ones), water, steam, oils, solvents, etc., while its extreme abrasion resistance makes it ideal for use with abrasive sand, slurry and other gritty media.

Pilot Style 2160

Diagonally braided from pure PTFE-yarn, reinforced throughout its body with durable Aramid. Impregnated with PTFE-dispersion and silicone oil. Applications: Ideal for rotary and piston pumps, mixers, stirrers, digesters and valves in a wide variety of industries: pulp and paper, petrochemical, sugar, fertilizer, food industry, etc. This can be used in connection with many different media including abrasive ones: cold and hot water, steam, solvents, oils and greases, diluted acids and dyes, brine, sewage, slurries, etc.
